Requirements for the use of crane pulleys in bridge construction

Bridge construction workers use lifting tackle to lift and transport materials such as steel bars, wire ropes, steel plates, etc., accelerating the progress of bridge construction. What are the requirements for the use of lifting tackle during material handling work, which is commonly used in lifting equipment?

1. Before use, be sure to understand the rated lifting capacity of the pulley and do not overload it.

2. Before use, check the grooves, axles, pull plates, and hooks of the pulley to see if there are cracks, if each part is flexible, and if the screws are loose.

3. The wear depth of the pulley groove surface exceeds 20% of the diameter of the steel wire rope, the wheel rim is broken and damaged, the wheel axle wear exceeds 2% of the shaft diameter, the wheel axle sleeve wear exceeds 10% of the wall thickness, and the dangerous section wear of the hook or hoist ring that makes up the pulley group exceeds 12% of the thickness. Those with the above problems are prohibited from use.

4. The diameter of the steel wire rope must match the pulley to avoid mutual damage between the steel wire rope and the pulley.

5. In places where the direction of force changes significantly or during high-altitude operations, it is not advisable to use hook type pulleys to prevent detachment.

If multiple pulleys are only used to lift a few doors, the lifting capacity of the pulleys should be reduced proportionally according to the number of doors.

7. During normal operation, the pulley system should be kept as vertical as possible.
